Jones Howler
Jones Frontier 2.0 snowboard 2026
„The redesigned Frontier/Dream Weaver strikes a great balance between freeride capabilities and playful maneuverability.
Its Directional Camber-Rocker profile combines nose rocker for improved float with underfoot camber for solid edge grip and response, while the tapered directional shape helps you cut through the snow with ease in changing conditions.
The Master Core uses a 1:1 pine-poplar blend, providing a lightweight yet durable base wood that remains lively and dynamic without being too stiff. The Jones Medium 3D Contour Base features a 4mm spoon-shaped edge to improve glide and reduce edge jamming.
Traction Tech edge design provides multiple contact points for reliable grip and edge hold when conditions are uncertain.
The result is a board that responds instantly to your movements while maintaining its friendly, trust-inspiring, and kind character.”
Completely redesigned for 2026, the Frontier 2.0 is a directional all-mountain/freeride board with an all-new tapered shape, designed to be the perfect daily ride for the advanced all-mountain snowboarder who wants an easy-to-turn board with a friendly 6 flex on any terrain, be it slopes, forested freeride terrain, deep snow or icy slopes. With a long nose, tapered tail and a directional camrock geometry, the Frontier 2.0 offers even better float in deep snow than its famous predecessor and solid edge grip on harder slopes.
Freeride, all mountain snowboarding.
The Explorer is my favorite snowboard. Completely new development from 2016. It's my favorite because the goal was finally to create a friendly super tolerant board. JONES always makes top boards from top materials for good snowboarders. With this board, they took a big step in the direction of a wider, well-boarding, but "less" professional circle. I am very happy about it, it will be my favorite JONES board. Turnable, directional (your center of gravity is further back towards the back of the board) fast snowboard. Freeride nose combined with a freestyle tail.
The board has rockers before and after the legs, cambered between the two legs. It holds well on different types of snow and ice, but it snaps well for jumps. The price is very good, the sintered Base 7000 sole with One Ball Jay Bio wax is super fast. Hardness 6 is my favorite anyway.
Its cover is unusual: it depicts the Nepalese Shangri-La wall that Jeremy JONES was the first in the world to slide down in the movie HiGHER.
