The starting board should basically be soft.
FLEX indexes should usually be numbered between 1-10 and between 2-5.
No matter how soft a board is, if it is very pointed at one extreme, - for example: box, half-pipe or powder - it is relatively rarely lucky. After all, who can take 5 and who can take 2?
- If someone is very athletic, strong, or does exercises that require good balance, they can choose a harder one. For example: a good skier, wakeboarder or competitive dancer.
- Those with a 40 kg iron bed should look towards the 2/3.
- For those who weigh 120 kg, all boards are "soft", they should round up.
