This basically depends on the selected or purchased snowboard boots.
If, for example, we wear a large size, we will be forced to choose a matching, wide snowboard board, so that the toe of the shoe does not touch the snow in the turns, hindering the turning. We check the "MondoPoint" in our shoes, this will be your size/length in millimeters. This number should not be greater than the nose width of the snowboard!
Informative (approximate) table:
Shoe | < 8 Board center < 245 mm (narrow boards) |
Shoe | 8 – 10 Board center 245 – 254 mm (standard width) |
Shoe | 10 – 11.5 Board center 255 – 259 mm (moderately wide boards) |
Shoe | 11.5 < Board center + 260 mm (widened snowboards) |
