Bataleon snowboards
::
Made in the Netherlands

Bataleon Snowboards was founded in the Netherlands in 2000 by a 44-year-old biophysicist, Jorgen Karlsen. As a highly intelligent individual, Jorgen fell in love with snowboarding and spent years studying snowboarding and how the board behaves at different speeds. This is how the 3BT (triple base technology/spatial spoon nose) concept came to life. This made Bataleon the world's first snowboard to produce a three-dimensional, spoon-shaped snowboard nose.
Despite many efforts, none of the big companies believed in the success of this technology. After a few months of searching, Jorgen found three professional snowboarders who were very enthusiastic about 3BT and decided to create a unique snowboard company together. it resembles a boat floating in the sea. All Bataleon Snowboards boards are made in Austria (Capita factory) with unique graphics and special attention to detail, and Jorgen continues to study snowboarding and constantly improve the already brilliant 3BT technology.
Today, Bataleon is one of the world's leading and one of the most exclusive and professionally recognized snowboard companies. More and more big companies are trying to follow his example - by developing their own 3D nose (Jones, Rome, Nidecker, THE Snowboards, Burton)
People don't usually associate Amsterdam with snowboarding, but Dennis Dusseldorp and Danny Kiebert have run Bataleon from the Dutch capital for nearly two decades and have grown Low Pressure Studio into a major player in the industry. Their shared passion for snowboarding and general love of board sports took them all over the world, but when it came time to settle down and build a business together, they decided on their native Netherlands.
