The Altai is the centerpiece of the new Nidecker boot collection, offering premium features and freeride-friendly support at an unbeatable price. It's built around an asymmetric upper that fits perfectly with Nidecker and Flow bindings, eliminating pressure points. The Dual BOA lacing system features a fabric-coated lacing system and twin dials to control the upper and lower sections independently. Underneath, our lightweight BFT Gravity 2.0 outsole provides fantastic cushioning and traction, while the rubber toe increases traction when hiking on ice and rock.

 

The connection between the outsole and the boot has been smoothed out through a molded part called the Transition Zone, eliminating the usual hard edge to prevent it from getting caught in the heel part of the binding. A hard rubber pattern on the toe box protects the boot and adds a touch of style. Inside is a new heat moldable Silver liner that allows you to customize the fit with heat if needed, but is comfortable right out of the box. The Altai is a medium-stiff model with plenty of lateral support, so it's great for digging deep ruts on the slopes or floating through the woods with pin-point precision.
