The C8 is a completely new direction for Ride. We set out to design the world's smoothest binding, and the C8 did not disappoint. With the LTD model, we have learned and perfected this idea. If you want a high performance binding and want to eliminate the high speed vibrations you feel with other bindings, this is the binding for you. The urethane material in the Slimeback ™ Highback provides a smooth descent and allows for maximum lateral mobility (freestyle). The C-Series chassis pairs an aluminum corner section with a fiberglass blended composite/nylon base frame. The aluminum heel section provides the fast power transfer and durability of aluminum where it is needed, while the composite base offers a smooth and sensitive glide. The reversible ankle strap provides two usage situations, freeride or freestyle. Fasten the strap with the stiff part on top for a more aggressive feel, or swap the straps so the soft part is on top for more flexibility and lateral movement. The inclined sole plate is made with a 2.5 degree angle, protects the joints from impact and vibration, while providing greater momentum over the tip and tail of the board. The vibration damper made with an integrated silicone insert enables an even smoother descent. The C8 is the ultimate snowboard binding with 8 power transmission.
