Description
Ride Deep Fake 2024-25 snowboard
The Deep Fake lives up to its name. It's designed for stability and fast edge-to-edge control in all conditions. With a directed extra camber profile, this board is designed for stability and pop while providing just enough lift at the nose to float on deeper days. The Deep Fake is designed in a standard length, no size reduction is required. The tapered linear quadratic sidecut is designed for smooth turn initiation and powerful traction in turns without any washout. The Deep Fake features Metal Slim Wall construction, part of which is made of titanium metal, covered with a urethane layer, running along the edge of the board, increasing damping, durability and responsiveness. This is a premium all-mountain board that features RIDE Performance™ Core, Carbon Array 5™, Sintered Stone Ground Race Base and bio-resin materials. The Deep Fake is designed for skiers who can take advantage of all snow conditions while remaining unobtrusive.
The Ride Deep Fake is primarily recommended for those who prioritize speed, carving, and powder, but it also showed a slightly looser side, making it more versatile and balanced.
In this test, I will introduce the Deep Fake as a freeride snowboard.
In keeping with SnowboardingProfiles.com tradition, I'm rating the Deep Fake on a 100-point scale (based on multiple factors) and comparing it to other freeride snowboards.
Disclosure as this was an atypical test for us
Keep in mind that on the day of the test, as you can see in the conditions section below, the weather was particularly slushy and there weren't really any harsher conditions to test in. I usually test in a variety of conditions, but this was on a public launch day so I wasn't able to choose the day or location. As such, this test was less comprehensive than our usual reviews.
This is why we don't usually try to test on public launch days unless we know the conditions will be favorable (and by favorable in this context I mean varied), but we weren't able to get Ride or K2 boards outside of this launch day, so this was our only opportunity to test.
